BraYn Conference 2026 and SIBS: A Shared Commitment to Scientific Excellence
BraYn Conference is proud to announce its collaboration with the Italian Society of Experimental Biology (SIBS – Società Italiana di Biologia Sperimentale) for the 2026 edition of the conference.
Founded in 1925, SIBS is one of the oldest and most prestigious scientific societies in Italy, bringing together researchers working across the broad spectrum of biological and life sciences. For over a century, the Society has promoted scientific exchange, supported the dissemination of experimental research, and fostered the professional growth of young scientists through congresses, educational initiatives, awards, and networking opportunities.
The partnership between BraYn and SIBS is rooted in a common vision: advancing scientific knowledge through collaboration, interdisciplinarity, and the active involvement of the next generation of researchers.
Neuroscience increasingly relies on concepts, methodologies, and discoveries emerging from experimental biology. At the same time, biological research continues to benefit from the technological and conceptual advances generated within neuroscience. Bringing these communities together creates new opportunities for innovation and scientific progress.
Through this collaboration, BraYn Conference 2026 will further strengthen its interdisciplinary dimension, promoting interactions among neuroscientists, biologists, clinicians, and researchers from diverse scientific backgrounds. BraYn Conference 2026 and SIPF: Advancing Cognitive Neuroscience and Neurotechnologies Together
BraYn Conference is delighted to announce its collaboration with the Italian Society of Psychophysiology and Cognitive Neuroscience (SIPF) for the 2026 edition of the conference.
SIPF is one of the leading Italian scientific societies dedicated to psychophysiology and cognitive neuroscience. Since its foundation, the Society has promoted multidisciplinary scientific exchange, encouraged the integration of researchers from diverse backgrounds, and supported the development of both basic and applied neuroscience research.
Through national meetings, educational initiatives, and scientific networking, SIPF has played a key role in fostering the growth of the Italian cognitive neuroscience community.
The collaboration between BraYn and SIPF has led to the creation of a new scientific session at BraYn Conference 2026: Cognitive Neuroscience and Neurotechnologies.
This session was conceived to provide a dedicated forum for researchers investigating the neural mechanisms underlying cognition and the innovative technologies that allow us to measure, understand, and modulate brain function.

Astrocite Cafe
Astrocyte Cafe is a monthly seminar series focused on astrocyte research organized by Dr. Nilhan Gunhanlar and Dr. Carmen Falcone, started in 2022. These meetings aim to share research projects and discuss potential outcomes and troubleshooting in an informal environment. The talks are all focused on astrocyte research, and cover topics that span from molecular biology, physiology, anatomy, bioinformatics, behavior, and brain disease. We support Open Science. We are a fast-growing community. At the moment, we are about 900 members from all around the world and from different career stages, students, postdocs, principal investigators and professors. Astrocyte Cafe particularly support members of underrepresented minorities to join and present at our meetings!
The first in-person Astrocyte Cafe event, will be a 3-day conference, focused on astrocyte research. The conference will include oral and poster presentations, keynote lectures, a “Meet the expert” roundtable, informal discussions, mentoring opportunities, and sponsors’ exhibits.
